Starting from November 2025, we have been closely collaborating with the CIC team on the digitalization of risk management processes across the SOCAR Group. Throughout this period, CIC has made significant contributions, effectively acting as a key liaison between the external vendor and SOCAR’s Risk Management Department.

They have played an instrumental role in coordinating meetings, providing valuable insights on potential solutions, and systematically raising queries related to change requests and identified deficiencies. It has been a positive experience working with CIC overall. The team demonstrates a very competent workforce, with knowledgeable professionals who are committed to delivering results. At the same time, there are a few areas where further alignment would significantly improve effectiveness. Strengthening project ownership and responsiveness—particularly in time-critical situations (e.g., difficulty aligning on urgent actions over weekends despite critical needs)—would be beneficial.

Additionally, workforce transitions would ideally be managed with clearer communication and structured handovers (e.g., role changes not communicated to project stakeholders; unclear handover ownership in some cases) to avoid gaps in project continuity.

From a support perspective, ensuring continuity and sufficient capacity is also important (e.g., initial support team composition changing unexpectedly; in some cases, limited SME availability leading to delays in addressing critical project needs).

Finally, for highly technical domains, simplifying communication and avoiding assumptions about the customer’s level of technical depth would help ensure smoother collaboration (e.g., specialized areas like security or server management).

Working with SOCAR Tech on IT and digital transformation projects at SOCAR Administration has been a very positive experience. The strong collaboration between teams has enabled successful execution of projects from both technical and operational perspectives.
